Back

Just when you thought it was safe to go back in the water   So would you buy a used car from this woman?

Maputo's Main Beach

Sadly the water flowing into Maputo estuary is polluted and it is not unusual for strange rashes to appear on the skin of those tempted by the cool waters

Mazda Marvie

This seven-seater 4x4 was bought for us by Elim International Missions. It will come into its own once we move to Tete

No windows, no locks on the doors, no doors, no water, no taps ... but the rent is low   472 bulls signed the petition opposing a licence to operate

Run Down Tenements

To a large extent Maputo has been allowed to deteriorate and buildings are poorly maintained. This apartment block is still occupied but ought really to have been condemned

Maputo Bull Ring

Portugal was the former colonial power and this bull ring is a reminder of some of its architectural and cultural influence

Dad, I appreciate you made an effort, but you know the colours are all wrong   Now if I can only find someone to play with who understands English

Nathanael's Birthday

Missionary kids don't have it easy and our boys hate saying goodbye to friends and family. Birthdays are a great opportunity to remind our boys that they too are important

Samuel's Birthday

South Africa is only two hours away which may well account for the ready availability of toys in the shops. We had no difficulty in finding appropriate gifts for little Samuel
