Baptism Service

Back

Have you heard the one about the Irishman, the Englishman and the Scotsman...

And the winner of the underwater armwrestling contest is ...

Testimonies

Daniel was the youngest of our 11 baptismal candidates. Each in turn was asked to explain why he or she wanted to be baptised. Daniel's testimony oozed confidence and assurance

Two Churches

While our Tete church organised this baptism, we were joined by our Matundo congregation at which Joćo Cafuliza is the pastor. We helped to plant Matundo some six months ago

I apologise yet again for the long-winded preaching. What my husband is trying to say is ...

Okay mate, once you've confessed all your sins we'll let you up!

What's it all about?

Gregory preached on the meaning of baptism for the benefit of our invited guests and for the curious bystanders. The river is a public place so there were plenty of people about

Full Immersion

We follow Pentecostal tradition and baptise believers by full immersion. This is a Biblical symbol of Christ's death and resurrection, as well as a picture of the believer's conversion

Someone has to tell the pastor that we haven't built a loo here. He'll have to wait until he gets home

Proof indeed, ladies and gentlemen, that Daz really does make your whites clean and bright

Worship

You don't have to be inside a church building to declare the praises of God. Our worship service made for an unusual sight for those gathered by the river to bathe or wash their clothes

Discipleship

Baptising Jamie gave us particular pleasure as we have seen him grow tremendously in faith over the past year. Once shy and uncertain, he is now active in open air evangelism
