No pushing, ladies - doors open in ten minutes   I´ll swap you a size 18 blouse for two size 10 skirts

Clothes Distribution

Ever wonder what happens when a charity shop like Oxfam receives far more second hand clothes than it can possibly sell?  Some of them end up being shipped out to places like Mozambique and packed into 45kg bundles to be resold in the local markets. We were recently able to purchase three of these bales from a wholesaler and distribute the clothes at several of our churches.

No one was using that bit of mountain anyway   It might be art but it sure won't stand the test of time

Blot on the Landscape

The people of Moatize depend largely on mining for their livelihood. However environmental concerns don't seem to be on anyone's priority list. This quarry was subsequently dynamited, spoiling the natural beauty of the area even more.

Easter Garden

People in Tete are always buried deep under the ground. So how could Jesus' grave have been covered by a great stone? Papier-mâché, pipe cleaner and a bit of crêpe paper provide the answer for this Easter illustration.

Hey, mum, look - someone caught me in his fishing net

There you go, Mum, not a speck of dirt left on us. So can we come inside now?

Taking his Ease in the Hammock

Life isn't always hectic. Samuel is quite content swinging in our hammock and looking at the pictures in one of his books. Of course he's even happier when someone who can read climbs in there with him!

Enjoying the Rains

Nathanael and Daniel model Tete's very own outdoor warm shower - also known as the tropical rains. Unfortunately, having got themselves all nice and clean, that fresh mud is ever so tempting!
